The next council meeting for Catawissa Borough Council will be 1/3/12.   The January meeting will be held at the Borough Hall at 6:30 p.m.

As winter approaches please don't forget that throwing snow into the street is dangerous.  This causes ice and makes the road extremely dangerous.  If you have any questions please call Code Enforcement Officer James Haney at 356.2561.

The Borough has reinstituted the recycling program.  Bins will be placed at the Borough Barn (S. Third St.).  Please follow the posted instructions so the Borough will be able to continue providing this service.

ACCEPTED:

Paper - Dry & Clean, Loose (Not in Plastic Bags) Magazines & Catalogs Junk Mail, Envelopes, File Folders, Shredded Paper Office White, Colored and Computer Paper (Staples & Paper Clips OK) Corrugated Cardboard Boxes Cereal & Gift Boxes, etc. that tear brown or gray (remove Liners) Paper Bags & Phone Books, Aluminum Cans, (Beer & Soda) Aluminum Foil & Foil Plates, etc.  Glass Bottles & Jars.

PLEASE REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM PLASTIC BAGS.  BAGS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
